To start off, a 5k Ping is more likely to be a network issue rather than a PC issue. The FPS is a better indicator of a good/bad PC.

Could you please tell us the budget (roughly) and what country you're from? That way people can give links and recommend systems suitable for you.

Thanks.

excellant budget. Pick up a copy of PC gamer. Plenty of ads for multiple companies that sell pre-builts that can handle, of course PC games of all callibers. from any where from under $1000 to over $2000. Check the games you play for the min and max requirements for playing(Processor, RAM, Graphics, etc) to base what you need out of comp to use and if possible get the max as your budget will allow as it will last longer. Highly recommend dual core, affordable with your budget and almost standard for gaming now. And even if you really dont game a lot, a higher end pc will last a little longer than buying low.

I prefer Systemax systems (http://www.systemaxpc.com) They use qualilty components, no third-party software, and have excellent support.

Here's a link to configuration page on TigerDirect for a basic gaming system http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?Base=2532816#

Stay away from HP, Compaq, or any other bargain brand that incorporates a lot of "can't shut off and can't remove" software.

Nope laptops can work. have GW loaded on one. Budget issues are what you have to be concerned about. A decent laptop for gaming can run over 2 grand with the right graphics and a good display. Check out gaming magazines. Some will show laptops.

www.alienware.com / www.ibuypower.com / www.abs.com

www.cyberpowerpc.com / www.vigorgamingpc.com / www.buyxg.com

I personnally built my desktop off of www.Newegg.com for a decent price, under a grand and it will hold for up to Crysis let alone GW. But if laptop and/or prebuilt, just to do some shoppign around

A lot of people use gaming laptops. They work very well. The problem is an upper-end one that won't be out of date several months after delivery will cost you more then the $2k you have budgeted. There are also upgrading constraints with most of them.

Another problem is that a high-end one usually weighs about 9lbs, making it difficult to carry around when you add the accessories also.
